About: Location & Parking -- Spalding Library, located on Library Lane (a narrow alley-like street used as a pedestrian walkway), is midway between 3rd and 4th Streets and about ¾ the way down from York (the street behind the Louisville Free Public Library, Main Branch) to Breckinridge.

We're Easy to Get To...

As you can see from the image above and the inset photo to the right, Spalding Library, near the corner of 3rd Street and Breckinridge, is convenient and easy to get to from either of these bordering streets. Access is also just as easy, though requiring a little longer walk, from the other directions, from 4th to the west (note that Library Lane, which the Library fronts on, is the exact midpoint between 3rd and 4th) or from York, which is to the north and runs immediately behind the Louisville Free Public Library, not shown here but located above the upper end of Library Lane.

Where to Park

 The Library's location also affords a considerable amount of close-in parking for visitors, with parking meters up and down 3rd and 4th Streets and also along Breckenridge and York. There are additionally a couple of nearby park-and-pay lots located on both 3rd and 4th. From any of these locations it is a short or relatively short walk to Spalding Library.
